All About People is working with a great educational institution in South Austin on an Admissions Representative role for their growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience and a desire to help others further their education. This is a temp to hire position with a variable schedule and one working Saturday per month required.


About the Admissions Representative Position


The Admissions Representative is the gateway, bridge, and conduit for potential students seeking the opportunity to obtain the education of higher learning. The Admissions Rep is responsible for not only the recruitment of potential students but also each aspect of the enrollment process towards securing a student’s success and retention. As an admissions representative, you will be working to connect with hundreds of potential students each week via phone, email, and text. The greatest responsibility of the rep is to organize and manage the database of potential students interested in obtaining a degree or certification.


Responsibilities for the Admissions Representative:

  • Provide superior customer service when interacting with prospective students on the phone, in writing, by email, text message and/or in person
  • Schedule tours and meet with students daily
  • Provide care and guidance to those interested in becoming a student
  • Effectively communicate the school history and its numerous alumni success stories
  • Explain specific details related to education programs such as tuition, program length, curriculum, and other pertinent education and compliance facts as provided by the school
  • Understand and adhere to all compliance standards with the school’s accreditation and Department of Education Standards
  • Coordinate with supporting departments on behalf of schools potential students; Financial Aid, housing, enrollment services, and military benefits representatives
  • Create and maintain documents related to student enrollments
  • Participate in admissions related recruiting events such as: student orientation, open house, and outreach events

Qualifications for the Admissions Representative:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience – Any combination of sales, customer service, outbound call center sales/service, and higher-education
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated with proven success in dealing with clients/consumers
