Austin Water is currently hiring for the following positions: Austin Water Certification Trainer or Trainer Senior (City of Austin)

 

 

Full/Part Time: Full-Time

 

Minimum Qualifications For Austin Water:


Austin Water Certification Trainer:

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent plus five (5) years of hands on experience in a public water/wastewater system,


Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License
  • One of the following licenses issued by TCEQ (reciprocity for other states may be available)
  • Class C Surface Water, 
  • Class C Wastewater, 
  • Class C Distribution, 
  • Class II Collections


 Austin Water Certification Trainer Senior:

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus five (5) years related experience to include three (3) years of classroom delivery experience.


Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License
  • One of the following licenses issued by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is required (reciprocity for other states may be available) Class B Surface Water,  
  • Class B Wastewater,  
  • Class B Distribution, 
  • or Class III Collections license l (reciprocity for other states may be available)
  • Certified through TCEQ as an approved instructor for water and wastewater licensing courses in accordance with RG-373.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Valid Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class C Distribution License and Class II Collection License, with the ability to obtain a Class III Collection and Class B Distribution License
  • Experience working in a utility, or similarly-regulated organization, and in high-risk environments
  • Experience identifying training needs, developing lesson plans, and conducting training
  • Experience working in a consultative role to supervisors, managers and executives as a subject matter expert in collection and distribution, providing advice and counsel on training-related topics


 

Division Name: Talent Development

 

Pay Range: This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon candidate qualifications:


  • Austin Water Certification Trainer: $25.05 to $32.56 per hour
  • Austin Water Certification Trainer Senior: $28.15 to $36.59 per hour
