Title: Service Desk Technician

Location: North Austin, TX

Contract W2

The Desktop Systems Specialist role is to install, administer, and ensure the stable operation of end-user desktop and laptop systems and user access management. This includes front line support for maintaining the availability of client/server applications and network systems, new implementations, and developing and maintaining documentation related to these support processes. The Desktop Systems Specialist will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user training when required.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:


End User Support


  • Image end-user Desktops and Laptops
  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot user hardware when needed
  • Respond to service desk tickets in support of end-users related to their desktop/laptop systems, account provisioning, or other reported issues for front line support or escalation.
  • Provide training to end users on multiple software applications, business processes, and IT systems. (Examples include Microsoft O365, Citrix, phone features, etc. )
  • Develop user documentation and frequently asked questions lists for end user knowledge base
  • Strong knowledge on troubleshooting on desktop/laptop related issues.
  • Strong knowledge on Windows OS
  • Basic knowledge of Mac OS
  • Basic knowledge on AD, DHCP, DNS, Domain, workgroup, Group polices, MS O365.
  • Basic troubleshooting on Networking (LAN,WAN etc).
  • Network Printer troubleshooting and management.
  • Troubleshooting on Conference room setup. (Example: hardware, O365, etc)
  • VOIP phone configuration and maintenance



Basic Qualifications:

- 2 years of experience in direct IT Support or Engineering Support or 2 year degree
