Graduate Engineer A/B or Engineer A/B (Facility Engineering - Water)

The position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon minimum qualifications:


Graduate Engineer A:

  • Education and/or Equivalent Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job.
  • Licenses and Certifications Required: None.

Graduate Engineer B:

  • Education and/or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline with at least two (2) years of engineering experience.
  • Licenses or Certifications: Texas Engineer-In-Training Certification.

OR


Engineer A:

  • Education and/or Equivalent Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years engineering experience acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
  • Licenses or Certifications: State of Texas Professional Engineer License.

Engineer B:

  • Education and/or Equivalent Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus six (6)years engineering experience acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
  • Licenses or Certifications: State of Texas Professional Engineer License at the time of hire.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Field experience in municipal utility, petrochemical, or similar industry
  • Extensive experience with process instrument installation and calibration
  • Experience in motor, pump, reservoir, plant equipment or other similar control systems in a process sensitive environment
  • Experience with Instrumentation and Control (I&C) design plan reviews and construction inspections
  • Knowledge of Motor Control Centers (MCC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems
  • Experience with commissioning and start-up of water/wastewater equipment as it relates to instrumentation and controls
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
