Austin Water is currently hiring for the following positions: Graduate Engineer B, Engineer A/B (Project Connect - Mobility & Relocations, Asset Management)
Full/Part Time: Full-Time
Minimum Qualifications For Austin Water:
Graduate Engineer B:
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in engineering.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Texas: Engineer – In Training Certification.
Engineer A:
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years engineering experience acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas
Engineer B:
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to engineering, plus six (6) years experience in engineering, acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with condition assessment and performing analysis, review, and evaluation of large and complex sets of data
- Experience with design of water and sewer pipes including relocation of water and wastewater lines along State Highways and County roads
- Experience regularly interacting with different levels of personnel throughout an organization and adapting communication styles to meet the needs of internal and external customers
- Experience in presenting and communicating technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with GIS
- Ability to travel to more than one work location
Division Name: Wastewater Collection Sys Eng
Pay Range: This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon candidate qualifications:
- Graduate Engineer B: $31.62 to $41.11 per hour
- Engineer A: $33.52 to $43.58 per hour
- Engineer B: $35.53 to $46.19 per hour
