vAuto, a Cox Automotive Brand, is currently looking for an iOS Software Engineer with experience developing native iOS applications to join our team in Austin, TX.
As an iOS Software Engineer, you will be leading the design and development of various iOS based mobile applications (Swift and Objective-C). Utilizing both Swift and Objective-C, you will work on the development of new applications from the ground up specifically catered to the specifications of individual clients. Working in an Agile environment, you play a lead role as a Senior iOS Software Engineer in a scrum team that also does regular maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting of existing applications.

- Develop and maintain new and existing mobile applications based on specifications
- Develop, implement and maintain unit tests
- Participate in the design and development of complex, multi-threaded applications
- Share knowledge with other software engineers and management by documenting work
- Stay current with changes in mobile software engineering, specifically in terms of iOS, Objective-C and Swift
- Lead and participate in code reviews
- Facilitate test planning and participate in problem solving and troubleshooting of new and existing mobile applications
- Mentor junior software engineers and help refine their software development skill sets
- Respond quickly to production issues and see them through to resolution
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years minimum Post Graduate Professional experience in OOP using any combination of Objective-C, JAVA, C++, C#, or similar language
- 2 years recent experience in Objective-C or Swift in a enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience developing mobile applications, preferably using iOS or OS X frameworks
- Ability to work on multiple projects and be flexible to adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative development
- High energy, confident, ambitious and self-motivated individual
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Android experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience writing and/or debugging web services is a plus, but not required
- At least one publicly available application in the iTunes app store is a plus, but not required.
- BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
