This position is a member of our Water Quality Planning Division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a part of the Water Quality Planning Division’s Business Support Section, our Management Analyst IV will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:
- Facilitate and/or oversee technical and administrative operations of the Sugar Land Lab (SLL) for the Water Quality Planning Division of the TCEQ.
- Facilitate laboratory administration and provide programmatic and technical recommendations with particular focus on streamlining processes and improving efficiency and productivity.
- Assist with the management of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Develop and maintain the laboratory technical training program; assist with ensuring the professional development of laboratory staff; and coordinate and/or conduct employee orientation and training.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of analytical methodologies, National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Congress (NELAC) quality systems, customer specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain legally defensible quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) data and records.
TELEWORK: This position requires full-time in office attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in business, planning, environmental studies, accounting, computer science, related fields, or an area relevant to the position, plus six years of full-time experience conducting program and/or policy analysis work.
One year of additional experience may substitute for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.
A graduate degree in the above areas may substitute for one year of the required experience.
