The Driver is responsible for providing Non-Emergency Transportation services in a safe and reliable manner. Will ensure the customer and client receive the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures.


 Provide safe and reliable transportation to customers 

Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills 

Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers 

Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle 

Must assist with any mobility device and secure as required for safety protocols 

Ensure on-time pick-up and drop off of customer 

Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity of the needs of older adults and individuals

with disabilities 

Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area 

Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests,

and schedules 

Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required 

Familiarity of FTA and DOT regulations 

Complete paperwork as required


 Perform additional duties as assigned or required 

Utilize tablets or electronic device as required


 Must have driving 5 years experience 

Possess a continuously valid US driver’s license for the past three years, from date of issue  Must have a standard operating license as per contract requirements 

Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening 

No suspensions, DUI, or More than 1 citation in the past 5 years 

Must pass criminal background investigation

 Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

 Regular attendance is required


 High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent 

Possess valid authorization to work in the United States

 Must possess a valid driver’s license


 This job operates in a professional office environment

 May be subject to adverse weather conditions during times of travel


 Ability to speak, read and write the English language sufficiently

 May require sitting in front of, and operating, a computer for extended periods

 Requires close visual acuity when operating a computer

 Must be able to drive a motor vehicle

 Must be able to communicate with others and comprehend verbal instructions

 Requires lifting, bending, stooping and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

 Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers

 Must be able to move around an office environment


 May require local and overnight travel

 May be required to drive a company or rental vehicle (failure to pass an annual

motor vehicle record (MVR) background screen may result in termination of employment)


 This position does not involve supervision of direct reports
