The Role:

As an integral part of the Tolling Solution Center, the Senior Software Delivery Manager will collaborate with Global and Regional Leaders across the business. You will develop and deliver strategic initiatives to support the delivery of customer projects for all Tolling programs across North America. You will structure and lead a software engineering team of direct and indirect reports to deliver innovative, efficient, high-quality and scalable software solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth market.

We are seeking a high-performing, strategic leader who has a deep understanding of large-scale technical system deliveries, a strong execution and delivery background and the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders


Responsibilities:

  • Manage Team Leads and their respective software developers having the technical ownership in medium to large Design & Build tolling projects.
  • Execute multiple customer-related software development projects in parallel.
  • Coordinate and manage the software development process for specific software projects while driving the Agile process.
  • Direct the work of cross-functional software teams while working with internal Project Management, Design Engineers, installation and operations teams.
  • Lead and guide the team to implement development methods based on best practices and implement solutions following innovative technologies and modern software architecture.
  • Own and drive key interactions with business and technology senior management, internal/external user groups to assist and develop delivery approach by ensuring that local and global processes and procedures are compiled to.
  • Ensure successful software project planning, scheduling, execution and delivery.
  • Effectively develop and manage budget aligned for all project delivery across North America.
  • Manage escalations of project conflicts/issues with the needed understanding and professionalism
  • Resource planning and allocation
  • Coach, mentor, develop and influence team to improve overall performance and efficiency

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of related Software Delivery experience supporting and implementing large, complex multi-functional, and multi-location systems.
  • Experience transitioning an IT Services Delivery Model methodology, including roadmap development, is required.  Must have advanced understanding of multiple delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile, Kanban, etc.) and experience transitioning from one to another.
  • Experience working in a business to government (B2G) is essential for success in this role.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Leadership capacity, managing large teams (direct & indirect) of software development professionals in multiple disciplines.
  • Experience managing change management activities from a leadership and technology perspective.
  • Extensive background in software development, including experience in solution architecture, technology architecture, database design and software application design
  • Experience working in a project-based business, building scalable processes and teams to support execution and delivery of solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Process.
  • Advanced project management capabilities.
  • Strong exposure to integrating products or services into custom projects from a design and development perspective.
  • Process improvement, development and implementation experience.
  • Experience with Software Project Management tools used to track and manage project activities and progress. (JIRA)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets for large-scale projects


Our top Candidates will have:

  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • Experience transitioning an IT Services Delivery Model from a Waterfall to Agile is strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
  • Agile certifications: SAFe, Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Knowledge of Traffic or Tolling industry, products and projects is strongly preferred
  • Azure Cloud environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing P&L
