Summer Job Age 16+ Parks Maintenance

A regular City of Leander Parks Maintenance position may be offered at the conclusion of this summer assignment for anyone meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, including HS diploma or GED, Driver's License, and age requirements. Starting salary for the regular Parks Maintenance position, if offered, at the conclusion of the summer is anticipated to be $14.90/hourly, plus a full range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability as well as retirement and paid leave and holidays.

Essential Duties & Required Qualifications

Our Parks Maintenance summer crews will be maintaining parks, athletic fields, and irrigation systems. You may be installing and maintaining horticultural areas throughout the City such as planters, planter beds, trees, ornamental fountains, park structures, fixtures and recreational facilities, parking areas, litter and trash removal, cleaning restrooms, and assisting with special events and programs. You will not be using motorized equipment, with the exception of blowers, but you should be available to work occasional weekends and special events.

Required Education and/or Experience:

You should be actively enrolled in high school or have successfully obtained your high school diploma or G.E.D..
