JOB SUMMARY:

 

Be a part of Texas history in the making. Phase I of the Capitol Complex Masterplan is currently under construction comprising approximately one million square face of office space along a new pedestrian mall and is scheduled for completion in 2022. Phase 2 is now funded and is at the beginning stages of the planning phase. It comprises approximately a half million square feet of office space. We are currently planning the relocation of multiple state agencies into the Phase I buildings and will soon be addressing those who will be relocating into the Phase 2 buildings. Our portfolio of existing state-owned facilities: totals over 28 million square feet; supports the needs of over 100 state agencies; and houses over 62,000 employees throughout 283 Texas cities and towns. You will be performing routine (journey-level) data analysis and data research work supporting the Planning & Space Management Program. General responsibilities include (1) database development and record management, and (2) data collection and analysis for reports. Work involves coordinating and providing technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, consultants, and the general public. Initiative in planning and organizing work to meet schedules is expected. You will work under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

§ Update and maintain space utilization database and TFC owned/managed inventory listing.

§ Prepare and submit quarterly performance measure reports.

§ Administer annual space utilization survey of state agencies.

§ Assist in collection, organization, and analysis of program data for biennial master facilities plan report.

§ Update TFC’s land and facility holdings to the General Land Office using State Real Property Inventory (SRPI) On-line Reporting System.

§ Monitor parking & non-state agency contracts for CPI increases and renewal dates.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

§ Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, statistics, or a related field.

§ Five (5) years experience in office practices and administrative support work.

§ Five (5) years experience in utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications.

§ Five (5) years experience in administrating Access database.

§ Demonstratable experience with Excel and Access.

§ Demonstratable experience with statistical computing software and modeling (ex: SPSS, SAS, R)

§ Five (5) years experience working with state government (Texas) laws and procedures, preferred.
