Office Receptionist

The YMCA of Austin is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team! As a Receptionist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality customer service for all. You will work closely with Directors by entering program registration information, answering phones, taking payments, and all other duties assigned. You answer general inquires and provides up-to-date program information to our program participants and members. This position reports to the Senior Business Director. This is a part-time role based out of the Extend-A-Care YMCA Branch.

What are the details? 

  • Actively provide excellent customer service to participants, members, and the community by answering general inquiries and providing information about programs and enrollment
  • Enter/edit participant information into a database in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with third-party billing participants and vendors regarding registrations, billing, and/or cancellations.
  • Communicate effectively with financial assistance participants regarding registrations, billing, and/or cancellations.
  • Complete program registrations, including Summer Camp, Afterschool, and special programming.
  • Partner with the Customer Service and Business Office to complete projects.
  • Minimal cash handling including participant payments and weekly Shift Close- Outs.
  • Provide accurate and timely program communication to YMCA staff, Directors, and Executives.
  • Answer all member and participant inquiries. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you bring to the Purpose:

  • Education and Experience: You are a minimum of 21 years old. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook is a plus.

  • You are organized and productive. You are organized, able to prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments.

  • Availability: You can work Monday through Friday, 12:00pm - 6:00 pm. 

 

Pay Rate: $10.50 per hour
