Position Overview:

The Business Process Consultant Senior within the Customer Relations division ensures process documentation is up to date for staff use, and through interactions with staff, develops process improvements to enhance the customer experience. This role is one of leadership – a successful candidate will have the ability to understand both customer and utility needs and help management guide process and system improvements by developing performance metrics and capturing stakeholder feedback.

Travel:

$37.14 – $47.35

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar consultative role where the primary function of the position was to perform business process analysis and lead innovative change processes
  • Demonstrated experience in performing research and analytical analysis as well as presenting/defending results to senior management and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling and conducting in-person or virtual business process training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience developing, updating, and maintaining business process documentation for use by business unit staff
  • Experience mapping work flow of current and future state business processes and leading cross-functional implementation
  • Demonstrated experience in project managing, organizing, leading and facilitating cross-functional groups with participants from all levels of the organization including executives
  • Experience evaluating performance measures to be sure that critical work processes are operating effectively and recommending and implementing process changes
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Ability to travel to more than one work location

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

  1. Leads multiple, cross-functional, large projects, initiatives and teams.
  2. Reviews, coaches and evaluates the work of Business Process Consultants and Technical staff.
  3. Advises Executive Management team in defining and identifying key measures and performance targets.
  4. Facilitates the development of stakeholder analysis and communication plans for process improvement teams.
  5. Makes recommendations to project teams and recommend organizational change utilizing appropriate talent.
  6. Identifies, collects, and researches to complete data analysis.
  7. Plans needs and forecasts resources for specific tasks and makes specific assignments to Business Process Consultants and/or staff.
  8. Accountable for achievement of goals of the division.
  9. Identifies talent to fulfill support roles, establishes relationships quickly and gather needed resources to ensure successful processes.
  10. Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives to executive management.
  11. Communicates project status to sponsors, stakeholders, and the rest of the department.
  12. Responsible for creating/revising models and methodologies which support consulting services.
  13. Develops project work plans and performs project management.
